Fourth stop - Lake Tahoe - June 9-11, 2018

Our fourth stop was Lake Tahoe - Sugar Pine Point State Park campground.    The first glimpse of the lake is a WOW moment because it is SO blue.  Absolutely stunning with the mountains in the background.  The campground/state park had miles of easy trails within it.   We walked from our campground to the lake, past an old mansion, and sat on the dock for a while.  Then continued our walk through the park.  In the afternoon, took a bike ride.  Tahoe seems very friendly for bikers, with a paved bike path along the main road.  Dinner at a lakeside restaurant - the Sunnyside.   The next day, Terravita friends who live in Tahoe in the summer invited us for a boat ride.  Fun!   Another beautiful day!  (we have had perfect weather so far this whole trip).  Lunch at another lakeside restaurant.   First time I have ever parked in a boat parking lot . . . you attach to a buoy and a friendly boat taxi comes out and takes you to the dock.   Tahoe is definitely on our list to return to someday!
