Third Stop - Yosemite National Park - June 4-8, 2018

Yosemite is awesome.  The waterfalls are still flowing with the winter snow run-off.  The scenery is so dramatic!  We managed the crowds, and often felt comfortably alone hiking on the day-trails.  First day -- Yosemite Valley.  Arrived early and parked, then walked and took the shuttle and hiked out-of-the-way places.  Nice glass of afternoon wine at the historic lodge.  Second day - moved our campground to Wawona in the south part of the park.  Hiked to nearby waterfalls and swinging bridge.  Third day - drove up to Glacier Point (amazing views!!)  then hiked to Taft Point and Sentinal Dome.   Have I said amazing and awesome??

Fourth day was a day of rest, and with Karl getting the internet satellite going, a day of paying bills and doing this blog.  Nice dinner on the big front porch of the historic lodge in Wawona (Yosemite's answer to the Red Lion Inn in Lenox MA)
